Gears of War Reloaded reveals a new trailer and release date

The Coalition were on hand at the recent Xbox Games Showcase to reveal the first trailer for Gears of War: Reloaded, the remaster of the remaster of the original game. They also revealed that the game will release on August 26, check out the trailer for the game below.

There was no new information about the game revealed during the show, just confirming the 4K textures, HDR support and all the other bells and whistles you might imagine. In the Xbox Podcast special, which is below, it was confirmed that the game would get all the extra content that was released since the game first released, including the extra content from the Ultimate Edition.

Finally, anyone who either pre-orders the game on Xbox Series X|S, PC or PlayStation 5, has a Game Pass PC or Game Pass Ultimate membership or owns the Ultimate Edition of the game, can take part in the multiplayer beta for the game, which kicks off this weekend. There are two sessions, the first includes classic Team Deathmatch mode across three maps including the fan-favourite Gridlock, as well as Raven Down and Gold Rush.  It will be available between

  • Saturday June 14 5am AEST - Monday June 16 5am AEST

The second will take place a week later and includes the competitive King of the Hill mode on the map Canals being added to the mix, along with the maps Courtyard and War Machine for use in Team Deathmatch.  

  • Saturday June 21 5am AEST - Monday June 23 5am AEST

The full game arrives on August 26 for Xbox Series X|S, PC and PlayStation 5.
