Can you believe it, we are in the last quarter of the year, October is a busy month normally and this year, it is a little quieter, but there are still plenty of big name games out. The month kicks off with Super Mario Bros 35, a new take on the classic Mario adventure and then is followed up by Crash Bandicoot and Star Wars and the month only goes up from there.

A competitive clash comes to the Mushroom Kingdom! Super Mario Bros. 35 is a competitive 35-player online battle where the last Mario standing wins! Beat courses while sending each other enemies you defeat!

Honestly, if you need me to explain Crash Bandicoot to you, then you need a history lesson. The latest adventure has Crash and his sister Coco jumping, spinning and wumping to save the world, with the power of masks. Slow down time, invert gravity or something else just as crazy, as you take on Dr Neo Cortex and foils his evil schemes.

EA is coming off the strong Fallen Order, but this is something different for the publisher, we haven’t had a dedicated flight game since 2003’s Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike. The game will have you take on the role of both Rebel pilots and Imperial as well, letting you customise your ships and pilot to make it a story all about you.

As a series Ride is a bit of a weird one, it is created by the same folks who make almost every other motorcycle game out there, Milestone, but it has none of the pageantry of them, this is all about you and your bike. Take to some of the world’s most recognised tracks, with dynamic weather and an all new ranking system, this is about just enjoying your rides, in anyway you can.

It is FIFA.. that is it. The game has a new dribbling mechanic, VOLTA now has a location in Australia to enjoy and probably more. Check out the video below to see what is new for this years game.

New Mario Kart games are pretty rare, given how long they tend to sell for, so they always gain attention, this one has attention for another reason entirely. This take the Mario Kart formula, but instead throws it in the real world, with a remote control kart, complete with a camera on board, so you can see what is going on. Plus the fact that you can create your own courses means that there is no limit to how much fun you might have with it.

With as long as Transformers have been around, it is surprising that there has not been a tactical game, but that is what we are getting with Battlegrounds. With gameplay similar to that of XCOM, you will take on the Decepticons across a number of locations, honestly though, that is all there is to know.

Ghostrunner is a hardcore FPP slasher packed with lightning-fast action, set in a grim, cyberpunk megastructure. Climb Dharma Tower, humanity’s last shelter, after a world-ending cataclysm. Make your way up from the bottom to the top, confront the tyrannical Keymaster, and take your revenge.

Sadly, after posting this up, Blizzard announced that Shadowlands would be delayed and there was no new date yet, though they are still hoping to have it out this year.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is the eighth expansion pack for the massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft, following Battle for Azeroth. For the first time since the release of World of Warcraft in 2004, Shadowlands will involve a level reduction ("level squish"), with player characters at level 120 (the level cap in Battle for Azeroth) reduced to level 50, with level 60 being the new level cap (as it had been in the original game). In what Blizzard has called a "New Game+ experience", newly-created characters will have an updated starting experience on an island called "Exile's Reach", which will introduce them to the game and its systems.

The next entry in the Watch_Dogs series takes gamers to London and lets them be anyone, seriously. If you see someone on the street you want to play as, you have to help them out, make them feel like they can trust you and then you can recruit them to the cause. Given the freedom, there is going to be a lot of chaotic moment uploaded online and I can’t wait for those.

Trapped and isolated in the abandoned town of Little Hope, 4 college students and their teacher must escape the nightmarish apparitions that relentlessly pursue them through an impenetrable fog. Made by Supermassive Games, this is the second entry in the Dark Pictures Anthology.

One of the last games from the Wii U to make the Switch.. hehe, Pikmin 3 Deluxe brings the game over, but adds in a host of new content. The game will now feature new missions, new difficulty modes and the DLC that was released post its launch. There is also a new mission staring Captain Olimar, something that the game did not have originally.

So that is the biggest games for the month, but just remember there are countless indies and other games releasing almost daily, so if you find a game you like, shout it out.
