Find yourself a Keeper, the latest game from Double Fine Productions
As part of the Xbox Games Showcase, Double Fine Productions stood up and shouted that their next game is Keeper and its set to release on October 17.
Games starring sentient lighthouses were not on my bingo card this year, but then again this is Double Fine, and they do tend to do the unexpected, but what is Keeper.
Keeper tells the story of a lighthouse, which has stood abandoned for many years, long after humans are no longer around. One day the lighthouse shakes its foundations and stands up, making a move inland, but they are not alone as joining them on their adventure is a spirited seabird.
The bird was looking for a place to rest, as it attempted to escape what the developers call a malevolent presence. As the pair move in land, they discover that the light from the lighthouse can actually impact the flora and fauna of the island, but also drive back the malevolence that is creeping across the land.
You can learn more about Keeping over on the Xbox Wire, which will have to do until the games October 17 release date. This was one of the rare games in the Xbox Games Showcase that was only revealed as coming to Xbox platforms, so Xbox Series X|S, PC and of course Game Pass.
