Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade comes to Switch 2 and Xbox this January

Square Enix were in the recent Nintendo Direct to reveal that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade would arrive onto Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S on January 22nd. Check out the new trailer for the game below.
In addition to Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second game in the remake trilogy would also come to both platforms in the future. Plus, when the third game releases on PC and PlayStation 5, it will also come to Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S, so across the four platforms, the entire saga can be enjoyed.
The Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game will also have something called Streamlined Progression, which is basically just God Mode. With this on, players will get unlimited MP and HP, unlimited ATB during battles, deal 9,999 damage and enjoy easier weapon ability acquisition, and more to streamline gameplay and allow players to focus on the story and hybrid combat. These options can be turned on or off at will, and they can be done on their own, so if you just want all the health and nothing else, that is what you can do. There is no word if this mode will be added to existing games.
Also, for Nintendo Switch 2 players, a physical release was confirmed and for a limited time that will come with a pack of Magic: The Gathering—Final Fantasy Play Booster. This is not yet confirmed for Australia, but even if it is, just know the Switch 2 release is a Game Key Card and needs 90gb to install.
“FINAL FANTASY VII is a very special game for me.
The characters of Cloud, Sephiroth and the others have been loved by so many people since the original game’s release in 1997 and are still loved today. I’m overjoyed that our efforts to bring the game to other platforms will give people who haven’t had a chance to play the game before an opportunity to experience its amazing story.
I hope that more players connect and empathize with the characters on a deep level, experiencing their inner thoughts and struggles as they grow as people.
The new platforms also provide new and different ways to play. Portable hardware will make the game even easier and more accessible to pick up and play, for example. I hope players choose to enjoy FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE in a way that best fits best with their own personal play style.”
Are you going to revisit this game on January 22nd or will this be your first time in the city of Midgar?
