Digimon Story Time Stranger reveals more details via an extended look

During the recent Bandai Namco ‘Summer’ Showcase, Ryosuke Hara, the Producer on Digimon Story Time Stranger took a deep dive into the upcoming title, offering up almost 10 minutes of new details. Check it out.

If you don’t quite have the time for a 10-minute deep dive, then perhaps the 5-minute long gameplay video from earlier in the week is what you need, you can check that out below.

In Digimon Story Time Stranger, players recruit many Digimon throughout their journey to save the Human and Digital Worlds. To obtain Digimon, players must analyse and scan them through battles. Once the analysis is complete, they can create that Digimon and obtain them as their ally.

To strengthen their Digimon, players can use Attachment Skills and equipment to boost their abilities and increase their stats. In the game, Digimon possess different attributes and elemental resistances which impact their combat performance. Additionally, Digivolution is available when each Digimon reaches certain conditions. Players are also able to De-Digivolve into lower forms and set Digimon onto the Digivolution path they need. The path they take depends on their stats and on their personality traits. As the roster grows bigger, the DigiFarm is another way to build up Digimon since they train and grow on their own in this customisable area. Finally, players can also accumulate Agent Skills to help their Digimon grow and support them during the battle.

The game itself is launching on October 3rd for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so there is not long to go now.
