Control is getting an Ultimate Edition and some new platforms
Remedy and 505 Games have announced that Control will soon come to Steam, but it won’t just be any release, no it will be ultimate as the Control: Ultimate Edition will include the game and expansions.
If that was not enough for you, the Ultimate Edition will also release later in the year in, as a digital only release for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, with physical coming in early 2021.
The Steam release will happen on August 27, the same day as the AWE expansion is released. For those not on Steam it will become available via the Epic Games Store and digitally for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles on Thursday, September 10, followed by a physical retail release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a later date.
Players who purchase Control Ultimate Edition for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will automatically receive a complimentary next-gen optimized version of Control Ultimate Edition™ when transitioning to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X.
