City Hunter is back later this month as a digital release

We have known for a while that City Hunter is getting a new release, but we now know when and that the game will get physical editions through Red Art Games. If you missed the announcement trailer you can check that out below.

For those who want to pick up the game digitally, it will release on February 26 and will release for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

This new version of Sunsoft’s iconic game allows players to experience City Hunter as it was released in 1990 or to try the brand new Hard and Enhanced modes. In addition, numerous Quality of Life and bonus features as well as English, French, Italian, German and Spanish localization have been implemented for the first time ever. And as a tribute to the anime’s original ending theme, TM Network’s iconic “Get Wild” has also been added to the in-game music player. The game will also feature an art gallery, letting players discover countless concept and manga art from the game.

For the physical offering, that will happen on September 17 and be offered on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. You can find all the editions here and even place your order, if you wanted to. There will be a few ways to pick up the game physically:

Standard Edition contains:

  • Copy of the game

Deluxe Edition contains:

  • Copy of the game

  • Sleeve

  • 100t hammer keychain

There will only be 500 of these editions made for both platforms.
