Check in soon as Hotel Barcelona picks up a September release date
As part of Gamescom, White Owls Inc have revealed that Hotel Barcelona will begin accepting guests on September 25th when the game arrives on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Check out the latest trailer for the game below.
Part action, part roguelite, all fever dream. Wake up in a twisted hotel taken over by serial killers and become Justine, a fresh-faced federal marshal with a primeval monster possessing her brain. But with the dangers that the other guests provide, the odds of you reaching your checkout time are slim.
Thankfully, the game is actually a roguelite and that means when you die and you will die, you will just get to start over again. This time though, it is not about getting a better weapon or learning a new route, but rather dealing with the Slasher Phantoms. These are the spirits of your previous runs, so as you begin again, all your past runs play out as they did, taking down foes for you, amongst other things. Oh, but if you do want new weapons, there are 100 of them you can find in the game, which should give you something to aim for.
All set? Now it's time for a killing spree! Keep up the carnage without breaking a sweat and be rewarded with the full force of Dr. Carnival, the ancient evil festering in your mind. Just don't let that almighty power go to your head…
The game will release on September 26th for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but only the PlayStation 5 is getting a physical release, for the other two digital is your only option.
