Call of Duty Black Ops 7 has been revealed in full thanks to Gamescom

While we got a tease as the ‘one more thing’ at the Xbox Games Showcase back in June, it was just that a tease. Now though, we have the first proper look at Call of Duty Black Ops 7, which is the first time in years that the series has had a direct sequel, check out the new trailer below.

The game is set in the year is 2035 and the world is on the brink of chaos, ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare. David Mason leads an elite JSOC team on a covert mission to the sprawling Mediterranean city of Avalon. While there, they discover a sophisticated plot that won’t just plunge the world into chaos, it will pull them into their own haunting pasts.

Much like you would expect the game will have a campaign, standard multiplayer and zombies modes, here is what Activision have said about them.

Campaign

Squad up or go solo in an innovative Co-Op Campaign that redefines the Black Ops experience. Take on high-stakes challenges across a wide spectrum of environments, from the neon-lit rooftops of Japan to the Mediterranean coast, and even into the deepest corners of the human psyche.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer in Black Ops 7 explodes out of the gate with 16 electrifying 6v6 maps and two 20v20 maps at launch. From futuristic Tokyo vistas to the frozen, unforgiving wilds of Alaska, every environment is brimming with danger and opportunity. Master a cutting-edge arsenal and outmaneuver your enemies with a next level Omnimovement system.

Zombies

In Treyarch’s legendary Round-Based Zombies mode, the nightmare begins where reality ends. Trapped in the heart of the Dark Aether, the crew is thrust into a vast, ever-shifting hellscape where the fog never lifts, the shadows breathe, and the dead don’t rest. This isn’t just survival. It’s a descent into madness.

The game is set to release this November 14 and will release on PC via Windows, Steam and Battle.net, PlayStation and Xbox. Pre-orders are open now, with those who do granted early access to the Open Beta this October.

But wait, there is more, as the studios working on the game have revealed a new Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Direct, which dives into a lot more detail. Check it out below.
