Brigandine: Abyss has been announced and is coming later this year
NIS America revealed Brigandine: Abyss last week in the State of Play, but they confirmed afterwards that the game is coming to more platforms, the full line up is Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Check out the announcement trailer below.
Brigandine: Abyss is a fresh entry in the long-running series, introducing an entirely new world that newcomers can jump into with ease. Centuries ago, the Abyssloa Empire was halted by the arcane might of the Brigandine. Now the empire returns from the ashes, bent on conquest. Take up the fight—manage resources, command your monsters, and oppose the empire across six distinct story campaigns.
For a more classic Brigandine experience, switch to Mission Mode, which lets you assume command of one of 24 distinct factions, each with its own unique win conditions and strategic flavor. Whether you’re looking to put your tactical acumen to the test or prefer a more relaxed, story-driven playthrough, Brigandine: Abyss offers hundreds of hours of engaging gameplay and replayability.
Whether you choose to play through the story or tackle Mission Mode, gameplay unfolds across two distinct phases. First, plan and arrange your troops and resources carefully during the Organization phase; then move into action and execute your strategies during the Attack Phase. Brigandine: Abyss preserves the series’ signature hexagonal-grid strategy gameplay while adding depth and tactical nuance, giving players plenty to think about. Success on the battlefield depends on managing unit skills, elemental attributes, terrain advantages, and the ongoing development and coordination of your armies.
The game is set to release later this year and will do so on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. For those who want a physical copy the Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 releases will offer that, the others are digital only.
