Battlefield 2042 delays its first season, in order to address player concerns

Battlefield 2042 launched last November and while we gave it a good score, there were some really weird choices for the title and it seems that players have agreed, as DICE have announced they are delaying the start of the first season of content, in order to ensure its quality and address other issues first.

Released via Twitter and seen below, some of the key updates to come include a scoreboard, so you know how well you are doing, as well better voice communication and other player tools.

The full explanation can be found here, but it is nice to see them admitting they were not right out of the gate, the problem is that this is the second game that they have had to do this with. While these issues are not as bad as the ones from Star Wars Battlefront II, it does make me wonder about the state of the studio and its leadership.
