Animal Crossing New Horizons is getting a Switch 2 Edition upgrade early next year

Nintendo have announced that on January 15, Nintendo Switch 2 owners can upgrade their Animal Crossing New Horizons game to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, which includes a resolution bump to 4K and more.
One of the big new updates to this version of the game is a increase in the resolution and graphical quality of the game, which I am sure some players will be very happy with. A small comparison image has been released by Nintendo, you can see it below.
With Nintendo Switch 2, the game will also support Mouse-Con mode, enabling you to get more accurate with your drawings, but also let you design a room with ease, you just need to drag and drop.
Using the in-built microphone of Nintendo Switch 2, players will also be able to enjoy using the new Megaphone. Once you have it out, you simply need to say the name of the resident you want to find and they will shout back at you.
Speaking of microphones, the game will now support 12 players online or 8 players via local wireless play. If you have a Nintendo Switch 2 Camera connected, your face can appear in game as you play
This update will not be free, it will cost you $8 AUD and can be ordered here. If you don’t already own the game, you can get that today and upgrade in January, or if you are going to wait, you can buy a bundle here.
