Age of Empires IV is bringing history alive, in all new ways

During the recent Xbox Gamescom Showcase, Age of Empires IV popped up again to reveal that when players get their hands on the game this October, there will be extra content included.

Hands on History is a new series of videos that will cover off aspects of warfare, throughout history that you might not have considered, the first revealed is dedicated to the Trebuchet, check that out below.

The series is made up of twenty-eight unlockable videos, with each being filmed on location with experts around the world, and aim to give players a deeper look into the way people lived, fought and ruled in the past. Age of Empires IV is hoping that these videos will bring history to life like never before, with Hands on History telling more stories as players build, battle and Age up.

For example, the one all about the Trebuchet was shot on location at Warwick Castle in England with Mechanical Engineer Dr. Shini Somara, players saw a full-scale trebuchet in action with insight into how this weapon of war worked.

Age of Empires IV is coming to PC on October 28th and is included within Xbox Game Pass for PC.
