Acer unveiled a massive range of products at next@acer 2020

Rather than deal out information one at a time, Acer held their annual showcase event last week and outlined a massive range of products, from gaming desktops and monitors, to laptops coming soon, as well as those newly designed things, that may or may not come to market, so lets check out some of the range. For all the details, head on over to the official site.

Predator Orion 3000

The newest Predator Orion 3000 models are made for gamers desiring a mid-sized tower rig for enjoying their favourite game titles or diving into streaming without seeing an impact on performance. Thanks to a 10th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 processor[xvii] and GeForce® RTX 2070 SUPER™ GPU2, it can tackle a wide range of games. Top that off with up to 64 GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 memory, up to 1TB2 PCIe NVMe SSD and two 3.5-inch SATA3 hard drives, and it has the guts for editing and storing videos.

Two custom-engineered Predator FrostBlade™ fans swiftly handle intake and exhaust to keep temperatures low, while the lighting on the fans and vertical light bars at the front of the case can be customised with special effects and up to 16.7 million colours via PredatorSense™ software. An optional EMI-compliant tempered glass side panel showcases the powerful components and colourful RGB lighting within. Killer E2600 fuels high-speed gigabit network performance and Intel® Wi-Fi 6 functionality2 delivers high-speed, low-latency wireless performance.

Predator Triton 300

Acer’s powerful but slim Predator Triton 300 gaming notebook has been refreshed to include a 10th Gen Intel Core H-series processor, up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU with Max-Q Design and a 240 Hz display refresh rate. The 15.6-inch FHD IPS display also features a 3 ms response time, 300 nits brightness and supports 100% of the sRGB colour space, making it ideal for both gaming and content creation. It further supports up to three M.2 SSDs (one PCIe, two combos), providing an abundance of storage plus the lightning-fast transfer rates and speed that gamers crave.

Three heat pipes have been added to the device’s advanced thermal design, which also includes a dual-fan cooling system (featuring one 4th Gen AeroBlade 3D metal fan), CoolBoost™ technology and strategically placed intake and exhaust vents. All this performance is housed in a thin and lightweight metal chassis[2] that measures just 19.9 mm (0.78 inches) thin and 2.1 kg (4.63 lbs), making it easy to game on the go.

Nitro 50

The Nitro 50 Series desktops deliver powerful performance for lag-free gaming and smooth graphics-intensive tasks with up to a 10th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 processor and up to a GeForce® RTX 2060 SUPER™ GPU. Up to 64GB of DDR4-2666 memory2 fuels the best possible performance. Sharp contours and red LEDs2 set the mood for epic game play, while the 18-liter chassis fits neatly on or under a desk. Powerful Predator FrostBlade™ cooling keeps the temperature low, and gamers can control and make adjustments to fan speed in real time. High capacity storage is provided by a 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD2 and two 3TB HDDs2.

Nitro 7

Acer’s updated Nitro 7 is another option for gamers seeking portability. Its sleek metal chassis measures just 19.9 mm (0.78 inches) thin and 2.5 kg (5.51 lbs), but still manages to pack in a 10th Gen Intel Core H-series processor and up to a GeForce RTX™ 2060 GPU. With up to three slots for high-speed M.2 SSDs, up to 1 TB in RAID 0 configuration, up to 32 GB of DDR4 2933 memory, Killer™ Ethernet E2600 and Intel® Wi-Fi 6, game load and response times are incredibly quick.

The Nitro 7’s thermal design includes dual fans, a quad exhaust port design and Acer CoolBoost™ technology, which can be enabled in NitroSense to increase fan speed by 10% and CPU/GPU cooling by 9% compared to auto-mode. On top of the performance this makes possible, a 15.6-inch non-glare FHD IPS display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 3 ms response allows for sharp visuals and smooth, blur-free gameplay.

X25 Monitor

This powerful 24.5-inch 1920 x 1080 gaming monitor boasts a super speedy 360 Hz refresh rate to give players the smoothest possible animation. Featuring the latest NVIDIA® G-SYNC® processors, the Predator X25 delivers an optimal gaming experience loaded with advanced features, making games look as realistic as possible.

The Predator X25 can also adjust its brightness and colour temperature automatically based on environmental light. With LightSense, the Predator X25 detects the amount of ambient light in the viewing environment and automatically adjusts its brightness settings to maximise viewing comfort. AdaptiveLight automatically adjusts the monitor’s backlights to suit the ambient light in the room, while ProxiSense reminds gamers to take a break after a set amount of time. Ergonomic, the monitor is adjustable with -5 to -25 degree tilt, +/- 30 degree swivel, up to 4.7-inch height adjustment and +/- 90 degree pivot.

All are certified as NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, with up to 240 Hz refresh rates and up to 4K UHD resolution, this new line of monitors delivers silky smooth gameplay and wide 178-degree viewing angles. DisplayHDR™ 400 supports stunningly bright images with high contrast and colour accuracy, while up to a 0.5 ms (G to G) response time in overdrive drastically reduces motion blur in fast moving images. The new line includes Acer AdaptiveLight, helping gamers stay comfortable during long gaming sessions, and is ergonomically designed, with a stand that features tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustment. RGB LightSense lets gamers choose a variety of different lighting effects, including colour, speed, duration and brightness, which can be set to react to gameplay, music or video.

Project Ezel

The innovative ConceptD 3 Ezel is a convertible notebook designed to give creators the most intuitive experience possible. Its amber-backlit keys are set against a pristine white all-metal chassis and a luxuriously large glass trackpad that supports multi-finger gestures. Acer’s innovative Ezel hinge makes the device as versatile as it is elegant, empowering users with the ability to switch between six usage modes such as stand mode for drawing content or display mode for presenting it. Other usage modes include an adjustable float mode, traditional laptop mode, pad mode and share mode. On top of 18 hours of battery life1, the device’s creative toolbox includes programmable keys and a suite of connectivity options, such as a SD card 7.0 reader and USB Type-C Thunderbolt™ 3 port, while weighing just 1.68 kg (14’’, 3.7 lbs) or 1.95 kg (15’’, 4.29 kg).

The notebook features a 14- or 15.6-inch FHD PANTONE-Validated touchscreen display that covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut and has a delta E<2 colour accuracy. This lifelike display is perfect for drawing with Acer’s Active Stylus, featuring 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, and artists can make use of float mode to find their ideal drawing angle. Furthermore, the ConceptD 3 Ezel is powered by 10th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-10750H or 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10300H processors, NVIDIA® Quadro® T1000 (ConceptD 3 Ezel Pro) or GeForce® GTX 1650Ti GPUs and 1 TB of PCIe SSD storage. This means that the notebook is powerful enough to handle not only drawing or sketching but also animation and 3D modeling—all at 40 dBA or quieter.
