Fury Unleashed scores a new name and platforms

The game formally known as The Badass Hero will be releasing in 2019 on consoles and PC with a new name, Fury Unleashed and the game will be playable at Gamescom on Switch, with the exclusive co-op feature.

Marcin Draszczuk, Awesome Games Studio’s founder had this to say about the change in name:
“To change the game’s title after we’ve already made it available in Steam Early Access was not an easy decision to make, nevertheless, it had to be made after we heard many times that it’s causing unnecessary controversy and is a turn off for people who would otherwise be interested in it. Furthermore, after months of development The Badass Hero’s art style has changed so massively that reflecting the change with a new name was a good idea to disconnect it from the first screenshots and trailers that were released in 2016 – do you still remember those big-head characters? Google does. Last, but not least, we’ve experienced significant difficulties promoting the game due to some social media’s profanity filters. However, one thing that hasn’t changed is the skill-based, action-packed gameplay with a combo system that will reward you for playing like a badass.” Draszczuk added.
“Other big announcements we have about the game include the addition of local co-op, requested by many players who tried the game in Steam Early Access, and a complete rework of the in-game music by award-winning composers Adam Skorupa and Krzysztof Wierzynkiewicz, whose work can also be heard in The Witcher, Bulletstorm, and Shadow Warrior 2. We believe that they are all great additions to the title that many players have already loved, as you can tell from our Early Access player reviews.”
