Arc System Works has announced that the Guilty Gear series will be making its debut on Switch this year with the planned release of Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R on the eShop.

First released in 2006 in arcades as Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, the game became a fan favorite after undergoing a tuneup to optimize each characters’ individual concept, making the “enjoyment of offense” a level deeper.

Players will get to choose from a cast of 25 fighters, including fan favorites Kliff Undersn and Justice and in the Plus R version, they, alongside everyone else, have been fine-tuned for more competitive play.

The game will feature a host of modes, over 100 unlockable pieces of art and a Korean metal soundtrack by Shin Hae Chul, who also composed the one for Guilty Gear XX #Reload.

Right now, the only thing we have is a large piece of artwork, so stay tuned for more details as they come in.
