Nintendo held a Pokemon Direct the other night, where many people were expecting the long running rumor of Pokemon Stars for Nintendo Switch to be announced and while we did get a Switch game, it is actually Pokken Tournament DX.

The game is coming with all the content from both the Wii U and arcade versions of Pokken Tournament, the Pokemon fighting game where Pokemon in battle move in direct response to the player’s actions, Pokken Tournament DX also introduces an array of exciting new features to create the ultimate Pokken experience.

New fighters are coming as well, including Decidueye and others. Players get to play this on September 22nd

In addition to Pokken Tournament, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon has been announced, which is a reimaging of the game released last year. While it takes place in the same world, the entire story is different and new.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon will be released on November 17th.

For those that have invested into the Virtual Console experience on the 3DS, Pokemon Gold and Silver are coming as well. Most of the game will remain as it did when it was released back on the GameBoy, but the game has been updated to work with Pokemon Bank.

Pokemon Gold and Silver will be released on September 22nd for the 3DS Virtual Console.
