Recycle Everything In Prey

Bethesda have released another video for Prey, this time it coincides with Earth Day and like the day is about, this video is all about recycling.

“You can recycle almost anything in Prey,” says Creative Director Raphael Colantonio. Once you break down items (and enemies) into their component parts, you can use the raw materials to fabricate new items – everything from essentials like ammo and medkits to exotic gear like the Artax Propulsion System and the Neuromods themselves – provided you have the appropriate fabrication plan. When there’s no Recycler nearby, you can bring the Recycler Charge into a room, toss your items together and throw your Recycler Charge in there. That’s why the TranStar engineers created this device. But obviously using it as a weapon is more fun.” Just jam it onto a Typhon and step back to a safe distance as your foe implodes, delivering a bounty of raw materials for all your crafting needs.

Of course, you can also use the Recycler Charge to clear a room and create even more raw materials – but be careful. “It’s a prototype device, so it’s not safe to use,” warns Lead Designer Ricardo Bare. “You can end up recycling something important. Or even yourself.” It’s worth the risk, though, because the Recycler Charge isn’t just a great way to clear a room – and possibly reveal some new pathways through Talos I – but also a powerful weapon.
The game is on track for its May 5th release and the demo hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 27th
