Microsoft has announced that Scalebound, the massive action rpg from Platinum Games has been cancelled. Develeopment on the game began back in 2012 and the game debuted in 2014 at the Microsoft E3 Press Event and was talked about last year at Gamescom where it was delayed until 2017.

The full statement from Microsoft is here:
After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for "Scalebound." We're working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including "Halo Wars 2," "Crackdown 3," "State of Decay 2," "Sea of Thieves" and other great experiences. So while no concrete reason was given, it is sad to see a game that had so much potential scrapped, with luck the game might come back in some form down the line.
