Do You Want Rock Band 4 On PC?

When Harmonix first announced Rock Band 4 was coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, a lot of people wanted to know about other platforms, namely Wii U and PC and while they never said no to either, the PC release is closer than ever, with Harmonix launching a Fig Campaign, to help get the PC release developed.

The biggest addition to the PC build of the game is that it will support the all new Rock Band Network, for those that are not aware, in Rock Band 3, people with the right toolset, musical knowledge and a few other costly items, could develop their songs into the Rock Band format and send them to Harmonix, to be featured in the game, sadly that was a lot of effort, on both ends, with the service being shut down in 2014, but with the PC release via Steam it is coming back.

But with a PC version being released on Steam much of the infrastructure for adding songs to the game can be done via Steam Workshop, with no fees and less overhead. So we're updating the authoring tools and documentation to help anyone with a song in their heart (and multi-track audio recordings, and some time....) to create playable Rock Band songs.
Then, using Steam Workshop, you can submit those files to us—we'll do a quick check to make sure they play properly and include music you own, and then put them into the game via the Rock Band 4 in-game store. Steam Workshop makes sure you get your cut of the revenues when they sell.
