DLC Plans Announced For Fallout 4

Bethesda have released the first details on the DLC that is coming to Fallout 4 over the next few months, two of which will add new ways to experience the Commonwealth, with the third letting you venture away from it.

Kicking things off in March is the Automatron DLC, which lets you build your own Robot companion. Here is the official blurb for it.
The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!
One possible option, is shown at the top. The DLC is will run players $17 bucks here in Australia, but is also included in the season pass.

Next up is the April release of Wasteland Workshop, which as the name implies, will let you build a range of new items for the world, again the official blurb.
With the Wasteland Workshop, design and set cages to capture live creatures – from raiders to Deathclaws! Tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers. The Wasteland Workshop also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixi tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!

This DLC pack will be released for $8 bucks here in Australia and looks to add more options for those who are keen on building things.

The final DLC pack, that has been currently announced is set to release in May and is the biggest of the three, Far Harbor.

A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost? Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.

The final pack announced today will run players $40 bucks in Australia, which is quite a price for DLC, but if the ones from Skyrim and Fallout 3 have proven, you will get value for money.

Bethesda have also said, they are not done with Fallout 4 DLC, with more still to come, what form that takes is anyones guess, but I suspect, it might follow the same patern as these three. What else they did announce today was that the Season Pass cost will increase on March 1st.

This is important to note, if you already own the Season Pass, or purchase it before March 1st, then you will still only pay $49.95, you will get all the announced content and yet to be announced content as part of your purchase. If however you purchase the Season Pass after the price increase, you will be paying $79.95 for it, so basically, get it now if you don't have it already. Seeing as the currently announced DLC is close to $60 if you buy them on their own, getting the pass is going to be a worthy investment.
