Pokémon Celebrates 20 Years With An Incredible Anniversary Year

Nintendo Australia has announced that Pokémon fans around the country are about to be spoiled with a new range of hardware bundles and New Nintendo 3DS faceplates, to kick off the 20th anniversary of Pokémon .

On February 27th, fans will be able to pick up all new limited edition Nintendo 2DS bundles, in their choice of red, blue or yellow, all transparent of course and each console comes pre-installed with a copy of the original Pokémon game of the same colour. Anyone who just wants to get the games, can also pick them up on February 27th from the Nintendo 3DS eShop

If you can't wait that long to get your hands on some Pokémon hardware goodness, then a week earlier on February 20th, two all new sets of cover plates will be released, the first is inspired by Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon with the second covered in artwork of the classic and original Pokémon.

For anyone who is looking to pick up Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon , this definitive adventure features 720 species of Pokémon, random dungeons filled with near-infinite challenges, and the chance to team up and battle alongside some of the series’ most iconic Legendary and Mythical Pokémon.

But that is not all, Pokémon fans can look forward to Pokkén Tournament, a 3D fighting game that takes some of the fan favourite Pokémon and has them battle it out in an all new type of Pokémon game. Pokkén Tourament is due to launch this Autumn for Wii U.

But before any of that can happen, there is another Pokémon game coming to Nintendo 3DS in the form of Pokémon Rumble World. this packaged version will provide the full Pokémon Rumble World experience, alongside a number of features reconfigured especially for this packaged version of the game.
