Halo 5 Guardians Is Out Now


Xbox Australia has announced that Halo 5: Guardians, the next entry in the long running Halo series is in stores now and fans packed midnight launch events around the country last night to be among the first to secure their copy.

Since the launch of the first instalment in the series in 2001 (Halo: Combat Evolved), more than 65 million Halo games have been sold, generating more than $4.6 billion dollars in sales worldwide. Widely regarded as one of the most cinematic and story-driven franchises of all time, gamers have spent more than six billion collective hours playing, with more than 2.5 million hours registered for the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta in December 2014.

Jeremy Hinton, Business Group Lead for Interactive Entertainment at Microsoft in Australia, said: “Halo 5: Guardians headlines the greatest games line up in Xbox history, and we know our fans have been eagerly anticipating its release since we unveiled the game in June 2013. This is the most ambitious outing in the series, and we know our fans are going to love it.”
