E3 2014 - Astro A50's getting serious audio enhancement
Astro were also showing off some improvements to the A50
range of headphones that are currently on the market. One of the best gaming
headsets that is currently available, you might think that there is nothing
more that could be done.
Well the team at Astro obviously thought the same and they
took some serious steps to make these headphones the best the world has ever
seen. Coming soon will be an adaptor that will turn your A50’s into 7.1
headphones without the need of an optical port. Yes, you read that correctly,
gamers will soon be able to enjoy 7.1 surround sound on their A50’s without the
need of an optical out port on their PC.
The adaptor is small and has enough cable which means you
can hide it from view if you want to, but perhaps the best bit about it for
those that already own the headset is that you will be able to purchase the
adaptor on its own. The A50’s are compatible with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 so
you don’t need to worry about upgrading when you get your new consoles.
