Sony launches Action Cam Live-View Remote

Sydney, 27 November 2013 – Keep the action close and never miss a moment with the wearable Action Cam Live-View WiFi Remote Control. The waterproof, wristwatch-style remote is the ultimate camera accessory, connecting wirelessly to your Action Cam, and allowing easy ‘hands-off’ operation when the camera is mounted in hard-to-reach places like your helmet, kayak or surfboard.

You can check shots are framed perfectly on the remote’s 1.5” colour LCD viewfinder which lets you stream live-view images straight from your camera. You can also start/stop recording and remotely change a number of important camera settings such as photo/movie modes and other convenient operations.


Rugged, functional design

The Live View remote has a tough exterior design, and like the Sony Action Cam, can be used wherever you go, no matter the activity. It features large, easy to press buttons, meaning you can easily operate the remote while drenched in sea spray or wearing protective gloves. The durable, comfortable strap keeps the remote securely on your wrist so you can keep your eyes on the action.

The remote can even be used as a conventional watch, displaying the current time and date on the LCD screen.

Weatherproof and ready for action

The Action Cam Live-View Remote Control has an IPX8 rating, meaning it is waterproof to depths of three metres, in addition to being dust-proof and freeze-proof.



Compatibility with Sony cameras

By utilising the camera’s WiFi connection, the Action Cam Live-View Remote Control can be used with a wide range of Sony cameras, including:



· QX10 & QX100 CyberShot lens style cameras

· A7 and A7R full-frame compact ILC cameras

· HDR-MV1 Music Video Recorder

· NEX-5T, NEX-5R and NEX-6
