Zootopia 2 sheds a new trailer, showing off many of its new characters

Walt Disney Animation Studios have released a new trailer for Zootopia 2, which among many things introduces a few new characters, but also teases the new song Zoo. Check it out.

The new song Zoo was written by Ed Sheeran, Blake Slatkin and Shakira, with the music and lyrics done by them. The trio will also be in the movie, with Shakira returning as Gazelle, with Sheeran and Slatkin to voice a pair of sheep. The song will be released ahead of the movie, with it being available on October 10.

As for the story, we get out best tease of the adventure that Judy and Nick are set to embark on, as they look to help Gary De’Snake, who leads them into a hidden world within Zootopia, a world of reptiles.

Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman return as Judy and Nick, with Ke Huy Quan voicing Gary. Other newcomers to the cast include Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song who appear as the Lynxleys, one of the most prominent families in Zootopia.

Comedian Fortune Feimster previously joined the cast as Nibbles Maplestick, an oddball beaver whose podcast explores reptile mysteries; Idris Elba returns as Chief Bogo, the well-respected head of the Zootopia Police Department; Patrick Warburton voices actor-turned-politician Mayor Brian Winddancer; Quinta Brunson stars as Dr. Fuzzby, an adorable quokka therapy animal; and Nate Torrence reprises his role as Clawhauser, Zootopia Police Department’s charming cheetah receptionist.

The movie will release in local cinemas on November 27.
