Xbox is launching their two new consoles here on November 10

In what seems like the most pointless game of chicken ever, with both Xbox and PlayStation refusing to date their consoles or price them, Xbox have won, because they have revealed their details. Sure it might have started with a leak, but now we know that both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will be available in Australia on November 10 and will be priced at $749 and $499 respectively.

Pre-orders are opening up on September 22nd, but you can register interest with various stores now, for those of you with Telstra, the new Xbox consoles will also be included in the All Access program, and thankfully local pricing is not to bad. You can get the Xbox Series S for $33 a month, but those who want the big boy can expect to pay $46 a month instead

Those looking to gain access just for Xbox Game Pass, which has been plussed up, might be best to stick with the Series S, but either way you are set to have a good time. It has to be noted though, that if you do get the Series S and want to play your old games, given that the Xbox Series X and S are fully backwards compatible, you will only be able to play digital games.

If you have a disc from the Xbox 360, you can’t play that game on the Series S, unless you buy a digital copy of the game, that is the limitation when it comes to the lack of a disc drive.
