Toy Soldiers HD is coming this August
Accelerate Games announced a while back that Toy Soldiers HD would be coming in 2021 and now they have given a more solid release window, as the game will launch on Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this August.
It is an overhauled, upgraded remake of the original XBLA game, but with the HD name, it now has enhanced HD graphics, never-before-played content, improved gameplay/sound/camera, and includes all DLC within the campaign flow.
Like many tower defense games, you strategically build your defenses while plotting your counter offensives. But unlike other tower defense games, Toy Soldiers HD gives you the ability to experience the battle from both top-down perspective and third-person perspective, jumping into the action rather than watching it unfold.
