The Resident Evil 4 remake is going portable this December

Capcom have announced that Resident Evil 4, the remake that is, will arrive onto iPhone 15, as well as select iPad and Mac devices on December 20th.

This is not a port of the GameCube release, which already hit mobile devices back in 2008, but rather is the full release of the 2023 remake, which we loved. The game will also come with the Separate Ways DLC, which launched only recently, so it will be the complete package.

There are some restrictions on devices, so lets run those down before you get to excited.

iPhone

  • Requires iOS 17.0 or later and a device with the A17 Pro chip or later. This means iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max

iPad

  • Requires iPadOS 17.0 or later and a device with the M1 chip or later. This released first in the 2021 iPad Pro, so older models will not work. The chip is also in the 2022 iPad Air release.

Mac

  • Requires macOS 13.0 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip or later. The device can be found in the following devices

    • MacBook Air from 2020

    • Mac Mini from 2020

    • MacBook Pro from 2020

    • iMac from 2021

Resident Evil Village released a few weeks ago and it offers up a free trial, so you can see how it will run before you buy. The same will happen with Resident Evil 4.
