The original Fortnite is making a comeback as Save the World goes free-to-play

Epic Games have announced that Fortnite is returning to its origins, well more specifically, the original Fortnite is going free-to-play on April 16. This was what was originally promised years ago, before the game added the Battle Royale mode, which then was rebranded to just be Fortnite.
If you have never heard of Save the World before, then don’t worry you won’t be the only one. If you are old like I am and are a founder of Fortnite, yes I jumped in for this specific mode when it was in early access, then this will be familiar. But like times, the game has evolved over the years. So check out the below video, to learn everything you need to know about what this new/old mode is all about.
As for where you can play it, well the game will be playable on the following platforms at release:
Nintendo Switch 2
PC
PlayStation 4
PlayStation 5
Xbox One
Xbox Series X|S
Select Cloud streaming services will be available for Australia with Xbox Cloud Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce Now supported.
Unlike the battle royale Fortnite, this release is not coming to any mobile platform, nor Nintendo Switch.
