That’s No Moon, It’s a Lego Star Wars Ultimate Death Star
Lego and Lucasfilm have announced a new Lego Star Wars Death Star, but this one is slightly different, it is flat. Previously, all the Death Star sets have been round with slices cut out, but this one is flat, to allow for it to be displayed against a wall.
The set is inspired by the Death Star in Star Wars - Episode IV: A New Hope, but Lego have gotten some details wrong for it, for example, including the Emperor. There are countless scene recreations, Han being chased by Stormtroopers, Luke in the trash compactor and of course, C-3PO and R2-D2 hiding in the room.
But it also includes the Emperor’s Throne Room, which did not appears until the final movie from the original saga, nor the Imperial Shuttle in the landing bay. So it is best to think about this as a Death Star for any occasion, which is why one of the minifigures included is a playful nod to the Lego Star Wars videogames, where there are a bunch of stormtroopers in a hot tub.
In fact, the set has 38 minifigures, with Luke Skywalker getting three variants and Han Solo getting two. You can see them below, but the full list is in the details below it.
The set will be available on October 1st for Lego Insiders, and October 4th for everyone else.
