Tekken 8 is getting stronger with the addition of Panda

During a special Tekken 8 stage presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2023, Bandai Namco revealed another new fighter for the game, Panda.

As the announcement was made on stage, there wasn’t any footage shown off, but there was a statue at the booth. What we do have is a synopsis of the character and some screens.

A panda that is Ling Xiaoyu's pet and bodyguard.

One day, a while after Jin Kazama, whom Xiaoyu had feelings for, disappeared, Xiaoyu ran away from home saying he was going to look for Jin, and never returned.

Concerned for her safety, the panda chases after her whereabouts, and finally finds Xiaoyu at the Mishima Zaibatsu Building.

According to her, Xiaoyu has obtained Jin's search data and will now travel around the world in pursuit of Jin.

Although she is surprised by Xiaoyu's incredible ability to act, the panda decides to accompany her on her journey, thinking that if she is going to travel around the world, she should enjoy sightseeing and food to the fullest.

She coordinates Xiaoyu's clothes and travels around the world following the little information she has so that she won't be embarrassed even if she reunites with Jin, but in the end half a year passes without a reunion. Put it away.

Seeing Xiaoyu still refusing to give up, Panda decides to stick with him until the end.

It was only earlier that same week that saw the group confirm an all-new fighter in Wei and that a second closed beta test was taking place, all those details can be found here.

The full game is set to release on January 26th for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
