Tekken 8 gets a new fighter and other changes this week

Bandai Namco have announced that Tekken 8 will expand its roster, starting on April 2, with the addition of Eddy Gordo. Check out the first trailer for the fan favourite fighter below.

Eddy will arrive starting on April 2nd for owners of the Character Year 1 Pass, which was included with the TEKKEN 8 Deluxe Edition Upgrade Pack, TEKKEN 8 Ultimate Edition and TEKKEN 8 Deluxe Edition games.

For those who don’t own the pass, the character will be available to buy on their own starting on April 5, just a few days later.

There are also new costume sets being added to Tekken Shop, along with a new legacy outfit for Yoshimitsu and an avatar skin for Eddy. Also, a feature has been added to Ranked Match, Quick Match and Group Match modes to allow for the termination and invalidation of matches if the network connection quality falls below certain specified conditions.

The full patch notes can be found here and they are massive.

The game is out now for PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
