Splatoon 3 is getting an update this week, bring new weapons and more

In a move that is surprising, given Nintendo announced that content for Splatoon 3 was done a while ago, they have now announced a new 10.0 update is coming to the game, which also enhances the game for Nintendo Switch 2. You can see a little of the update towards the end of the trailer below.
The update is due to launch late in the day on June 12, and will bring with it a host of updates. There are two new weapon collections coming to the game, Barazushi and Emberz, you can see the offerings below.
In addition to new weapons, a new map will be added or more specifically a returning map. Urchin Underpass, which has not been seen since the original release, is getting updated for new fights.
This is Urchin Underpass—a stage from the original Splatoon game. Set under an Inkopolis highway, this place has undergone some renovations but is still recognizable as the hotbed of Turf War trends that it was.
