Sniper Elite 5 lines up for a May release on all platforms

Rebellion have announced that Sniper Elite 5 will be launching onto all announced platforms on May 26th, so a little over two months from now. In celebration of this, they have released a new trailer from the game, check it out.

The trailer above isn’t just there to promote the newly announced release date, but also provides a glimpse of the action-packed storyline and main characters that will feature in Sniper Elite 5 as elite marksman Karl Fairburne uncovers a Nazi plot to turn the tide of the Second World War, codenamed Operation Kraken.

Karl has to use all of the skills at his disposal to gather intelligence about the plans and make sure they never come to fruition. This will pit him against the scheme’s mastermind, Abelard Möller, an Axis Obergruppenführer, who must be stopped at any cost.

With the release date confirmed, any one who pre-orders the game will get a bonus, included within the bonus is a mission called Wolf Mountain and the P.1938 Suppressed Pistol.

The game will come in standard and deluxe editions, with the latter coming with a Season Pass and the pre-order content. The Season Pass comes fully loaded with:

  • 2 Campaign Missions

  • 2 Weapon skin packs

  • 2 Character Packs

  • 6 Weapon Packs

The game is also launching into Xbox Game Pass on release day, but that is just the base version, no season pass for that one. In addition to that, the game will be available to buy on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation - plus given how the rest have all come to Switch, it wouldn’t surprise me to see this one come across later in the year, though that is just speculation.
