Roller Champions is set to bash onto the rink next week

Ubisoft have announced that Roller Champions, a game that we haven’t seen for a few years, has gone gold and will release next week, yes May 25th for all platforms, well except Switch. Check out the overview trailer below, to better get an indication about what the game is bringing to the world of competitive roller skating.

The goal of the game is pretty simple, you just have to score 5 goals and the first team to do so wins, see easy. Of course, this is a free-to-play title and as such there will be lots of things for you to be tempted into buying, from new looks for your skates and of course your skater.

As you progress through the free Roller Pass, you’ll earn gear for your skater, like helmets, gloves, outfits, and skates, as well as poses, goal FX, emotes, and other cosmetic items. Players can also purchase the premium Roller Pass to earn more exclusive gear that won’t be available in the item shop.

When the game releases next week it will do so on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Ubisoft Connect, those wanting to wait for the Switch release, or another PC store front, those are coming later, but there is no date yet.

Thankfully you can start on one next week and then continue your journey on whichever platform you move to down the road, if you do, thanks to cross-progression, meaning that all your stylish customisation items, fans and levels go with you.
