Reigns: The Witcher has been revealed and is out next month
Devolver Digital and developer Nerial have announced a new partnership with CD Projekt Red, which has resulted in a brand new Witcher game, sort of. It is technically Reigns, but this new game Reigns: The Witcher is going to be a cannon story for the game series.
Yes, you are not seeing things, there is a new Reigns game and it is set in the world of The Witcher, which given there is a Game of Thrones title, is not that much of a stretch.
Reigns: The Witcher casts players as monster hunter Geralt of Rivia, but tells his story through his friend Dandelion the bard. Choices become verses, mistakes become stanzas, and even baths turn into ballads.
From deals and plots to angry villagers and fiery sorceresses, your choices matter across the Continent. A single swipe can earn noble favor, anger mages, or leave you waist-deep in drowners. As any witcher knows, few tasks are as simple as they seem.
From taverns to remote villages, Reigns: The Witcher lets players add to Dandelion’s growing songbook. Play new “greatest hits,” retell familiar stories in new ways, and shape the White Wolf’s saga—sometimes dramatic, sometimes absurd.
The game is launching on February 25 for PC, Android and iOS devices.
