Razer is adding some colour to the headset options for Xbox

Razer have announced that soon Xbox gamers, or really anyone, will be able to enjoy a new product line that is bursting with colour, as the Kaira X series of headsets will be coming to stores here soon.

“With the new Kaira X, gamers now have even more choice when it comes to picking their perfect Razer headset for either Xbox, PlayStation or PC,” said Alvin Cheung, Senior Vice President of Razer’s peripherals business unit. “And with the vibrant new range of colors on the Kaira X and charging stands, and the sleek white colors on the Kaira, Kaira Pro, and Wolverine V2, gamers can be as bold and bright as their hardware.”

Taking a cue from Razer’s award-winning PC headsets, the Kaira X makes use of Razer’s TriForce 50mm drivers to deliver high-quality gaming audio. With improved frequency separation, the TriForce Drivers provide crisp highs, clear mids and rumbling bass, for encompassing, immersive audio. In-game comms will be crystal clear thanks to the flexible, boom-mounted Razer HyperClear Cardioid Microphone, with a focused pick-up pattern to exclude unwanted background noise.

As far as features go, there isn’t a lot here, with the usual on-headset controls for volume and mic muting, leaving the quality of the sound to do the heavy lifting. But they didn’t just stop there, there are memory foam ear cushions and padding across the top of the headband, to make sure you can game in comfort, no matter how long you wear it for.

The biggest upside is of course that the connection from the headset to your source is a 3.5mm jack, meaning that while made for Xbox, they will work with any other platform that supports it, so PlayStation, Switch, PC, mobile, old school discman, you name it.

Something fun though is that the entire range comes in colours to make most of the current Xbox Series X|S controllers, you have your traditional Black and White, but also Shock Blue, Pulse Red, and Electric Volt. There is also a PlayStation coloured version, that is mostly White with a little Black and Blue, to match the DualSense controller, if you want to show your PlayStation some love.
