Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen have appeared on the eShop

In a move that I am sure someone is going to get a stern telling off about, Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen have appeared on the Nintendo eShop, a week or so before they were likely meant to.

As you can see in the screenshot we snapped, the games are both there, but in an odd twist they have been split into the various languages, so if you want the game in English and French, you will need to buy it twice. There are no screens for the releases, so that is something, but we do have this description.

The thrill of the Kanto region, as well as familiar Pokémon, are just as you remember them – with updated graphics compared to the original Game Boy title. The Sevii Islands – not present in Pokémon Red Version – have also been added, greatly expanding the areas you can explore and the scope of your adventure.

Some excitement doesn’t fade no matter how many years pass. Whether it’s choosing your first partner Pokémon, confronting a sinister organisation or encountering a legend, a world of dreams and adventures with Pokémon awaits. Let’s go!

If you have a desire to pre-order the games you can do so for Pokémon FireRed here and for Pokémon LeafGreen here.
