PlayStation VR2 has been dated and priced, with it costing a lot

PlayStation Australia have confirmed that the PlayStation VR2 will launch here in Australia on February 22nd, 2023 and will have a retail price of $879.95, making it more expensive than the PlayStation 5 console you need to use it.

There will actually be two options available at launch, the basic kit and a Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle, here is what is included in each.

PlayStation VR2 Kit - $879.95

  • PS VR2 headset

  • PS VR2 Sense controllers

  • stereo headphones

PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle - $959.95

  • PS VR2 headset

  • PS VR2 Sense controllers

  • stereo headphones

  • Horizon Call of the Mountain code

While the included PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers can be charged off any USB-C port, PlayStation are also selling a cradle for them, so you can place them in when not in use to store and charge. This has a retail price of $79.97

Pre-orders for the unit will begin on November 15, you had best check with your local retailer on their plans to stock this.
