Overwatch Rush has been announced, is in development for Mobile
Blizzard have announced a brand new game set within the world of Overwatch, Overwatch Rush. This is a top-down hero shooter that is being designed to take full advantage of mobile games. Check out the first look below.
The game is being created by a separate team at Blizzard, so Team 4 who make Overwatch, are not directly involved with the creation of this game. While not confirmed, development is likely being done by the Incubation team, who also created Warcraft Rumble a few years ago.
This new game is a 4v4 title, which again is different to the 5v5 found in Overwatch today, but core gameplay details beyond that have not been announced, of course, watching the video should give you a good idea.
The team are going to be opening up testing in selected regions, so if you want to register to take part, be sure to visit the official Discord. As for when the game is set to release, there is no timeframe right now, which given it was only just announced, makes sense.
