Nintendo is releasing the Breath of the Wild soundtrack outside of Japan

Nintendo have announced that they are teaming up with Laced Records to release The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild soundtrack outside of Japan for the first time. But unlike Japan which got the release on CDs, the rest of the world will get vinyl records.

There are two different options available the Limited Edition 8LP Box Set and the Limited Edition Double LP. Nintendo Australia have both up for pre-order on their store for $325 and $94 AUD respectively, but if you don’t want the coloured discs, you can order the same sets with plain black discs direct from Laced Records. Just know that you will need to pay for shipping for those orders, so the items alone are $291 and $73 AUD, plus $51 AUD in shipping. Laced Records also requires full payment at the time of order placing, so just be aware of that.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Nintendo America’s Bill Trinen noted that the release was being treated as a test case, to see if there was an appetite for this sort of release from the company. Given that Nintendo fans have been screaming for years for soundtracks to be released, I would imagine so.
