Ninja Gaiden 4 is bring the Two Masters update to players next week
Koei Tecmo and Xbox have announced that the first story expansion for Ninja Gaiden 4 is coming next week and will continue the story of Yakumo and Ryu’s battle against fiends that threaten the world. Check out the new trailer for the game below.
The Two Masters add two weapons to broaden Yakumo and Ryu’s playstyles. Yakumo gets the “Solitaire” scythe for clearing groups and controlling crowds. Ryu gets the “Jakotsumon” serpent gauntlets for fast, close-up fighting and closing gaps.
Also included is Abyssal Road, an endurance mode with 100 escalating encounters using enemies from the base game and DLC. It introduces Special Blood Essence and Frenzied enemy mechanics that change battle conditions.
This update adds new content plus many quality-of-life improvements, balance changes, and bug fixes—improved combat responsiveness, new weapon-set customization, and fixes across chapters for a smoother campaign. Players already in the game can get Yakumo and Ryu’s new weapons mid-campaign. To unlock new Trials and the Abyssal Road challenge, finish The Two Masters story at any difficulty.
The update arrives onto Xbox Series X|S, PC and PlayStation 5 on March 4.
