New Galaxy A Series have been announced by Samsung and are coming later this March

Samsung have announced the new Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 phones, the latest in the value range of devices that are made by the tech giant, but are still packed with some of the latest innovations.

With the Galaxy A series, we are expanding our latest technologies to a wider audience so that more
people can benefit from them. We are excited to open up even more possibilities on the Galaxy A series this
year, including offering Samsung Knox Vault for the first time on this lineup. We’re proud to enable Galaxy A series users to safely and reliably enjoy outstanding mobile experiences.

The A55 comes in two colours, Awesome Navy and Awesome Lilac, which are shown below. The phone itself comes with a Super AMOLED displays, which is 6.6-inches on the angle and sports a 120hz refresh rate. The storage onboard can be 128gb or 256gb, with the amount of ram offered being doubled if you go for the larger storage.

For those who are camera focused, pun intended, on the front you will get a 32 MP, f/2.2, 26mm (wide), 1/2.74", 0.8µm. Flip the phone over and the triple array on the back offers:

  • 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/1.56", 1.0µm, PDAF, OIS

  • 12 MP, f/2.2, 123˚ (ultrawide), 1/3.06", 1.12µm

  • 5 MP, f/2.4, (macro)

The phone will be available starting on March 25th direct from Samsung and prices begin at $699, depending on storage and other options.

For those looking for something a little more basic, the A35 phone offers almost the exact same specs as the A55 above, however it comes with less ram, that is a little slower. The colours are really the only way you can tell them apart as the phone comes in Awesome Navy and Awesome Ice Blue.

The phone will be available direct from Samsung on March 25th, with the starting price of $549, depending on what storage options you aim for.

Orders are not yet available, but once they go live, you can find them here.
