Mortal Kombat 1 delivers the gameplay via Summer Game Fest

As promised, NetherRealm Studios were on hand at Summer Game Fest to reveal the first gameplay for Mortal Kombat 1, the latest reboot of the iconic fighting series, check out the gameplay below.

The series co-creator Ed Boon was on stage to reveal more details, including how the Kameo fighters work, you can choose anyone, but there is a timer on their use. That means that you can’t just spawn your Kameo all the time.

While there wasn’t a full roster reveal, we did get confirmation that Jean Claude Van Damme, the inspiration for Johnny Cage will be voiced by the actor.

The game is set to launch on September 17 for Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
