Moon Knight, She Hulk and Secret Invasion headline the second wave of Marvel shows onDisney+

Marvel could have just left us with trailers for their first wave of MCU on Disney+, but they kept the information coming, providing more details about plenty of their upcoming shows. Most of the details are relating to casting announcements and there are some big ones.

The first show, of the second wave, that we learnt about is She Hulk, with Tatiana Maslany confirmed to be the actress stepping into the bright green body of Jennifer Walters. In addition to that confirmation it was also revealed that Tim Roth would once again return to the MCU, or I suppose technically this is the first time in it, as when he played Abomination back in The Incredible Hulk, it wasn’t called the MCU.

But if that wasn’t enough, Mark Ruffalo will also make an appearance as Bruce Banner, aka The Hulk, the coolest part is, that as Jennifer Walters is a lawyer, she specialises in legal aid for superheroes, so you never know what hero might show up each week.

The second show we got details on was Moon Knight, though details is perhaps not the right word as there was no casting revealed for it. In this Marvel Studios original series for Disney+ centers on the character Marc Spector aka Moon Knight, a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. These multiple identities who live inside him are distinct characters in the series and will appear against a backdrop of Egyptian iconography.

Next up, we got some new details on Hawkere, with Marvel confirming that Hailee Steinfeld will join Jeremy Renner, who reprises his role as Clint Barton aka Hawkeye, in his series Hawkeye, as the well-known archer from Marvel Comics, Kate Bishop. This marks the second Marvel movie Hailee as she also voiced Gwen in the movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse

Rounding out the cast of the original Marvel Studios series are Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, and newcomer Alaqua Cox who will star as Maya Lopez.

Now we have covered off the known shows, but the ones that were announced after them kick off with Ms Marvel. This new show centers on fan-favorite Kamala Khan — a 16-year-old Pakistani-American growing up in Jersey City. A great student, avid gamer, and voracious fan-fic scribe, Kamala has a special affinity for Super Heroes, particularly Captain Marvel.

Newcomer Iman Vellani heads up the show as the titular character, with Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer and Nimra Bucha, all playing characters in the show. As Kamala is a big Captain Marvel fan, she also plays a big role in the second movie for Captain Marvel.

Kicking off the completely unknown, we now know what the role Samuel L. Jackson will play in the rumored Disney+ TV series for Nick Fury. Secret Invasion has a sect of Skrulls invading earth and start taking over critical positions across the planet.

Which explains why Talos, aka Ben Mendelsohn is coming back as Talos, who we last saw pretending to be Nick Fury in Spider-Man: Far from Home. There is no date on when this one will release.

A show that was not hinted at before, is Ironheart and focuses on the titular character, played by Dominique Thorne, who creates the most advanced suit of armor, since Tony Stark himself, this also does not have a release window.

Speaking of shows around armor, Armor Wars tells the story of what happens when the tech created by Tony Stark falls into enemy hands, which was something he was worried about happening, at the start of Iron Man 2.

As the only suited up Avenger, War Machine will play a lead role in the series, with actor Don Cheadle returning to the role once again.

Finally, the final two shows coming to Disney+ are both set in the world of the Guardians of the Galaxy as there will be both a series of shorts starting Baby Groot and a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, both coming to Disney+ before Volume 3 of Guardians of the Galaxy.
