Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is taking racing from the screen to the floor

During the recent Super Mario 35th Anniversary Direct, Nintendo announced an all new Mario Kart, but this is unlike anything you might have expected. Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is built with real physical karts and track markers, you simply place the four different markers on the ground, use your Switch to drive the kart through them and you now have your own home made course.

The game is out on October 16 and will cost $149.95 per kart, with both Mario and Luigi variants available, the upside you only need one kart to race, the downside, multiplayer requires a kart for each racer.

The game has been created by new studio Velan Studios, the new one created by the founders of Vicarious Visions, who have been massive supports of Nintendo over the years. The game seems fun, but will be interesting to see how it shapes up in the long run.
