Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is embracing the force this April

After a few years worth of delays, WB Games have announced that Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is set to release on April 5 for all consoles and PC. Celebrating the confirmed date, the team have released a big overview trailer, to help explain many of the new aspects of the game, check it out.

The game allow players to play through all nine Episodes of the core saga, travel through hyperspace and explore over 20 unlockable planets, and experience an exciting mix of gameplay, from chaining attacks in lightsaber combat to space battles. Players can also unlock and choose from over 300 characters, the most ever in a LEGO Star Wars game.

Those who want it all, can look at buying the deluxe version of the game, which comes with the base game, but also the Character Collection Bundle Pack, which includes six DLC character packs inspired by these additional stories from the galaxy, far, far away:

  • The Mandalorian

  • Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

  • Solo: A Star Wars Story

  • Star Wars: The Bad Batch and more

In addition, there is also a collectible Lego Star Wars minifigure, Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk for the retail version, those who get it via the digital stores won’t get the minifigure.

I had the chance to chat with the game director back at the last physical E3, which was in 2019, when the game was first revealed and you can read about the game in more detail via that interview.
