Kirby and the Forgotten Land is coming to Switch this March

Nintendo have announced that Kirby and the Forgotten Land will blast onto Switch on March 25th, letting players experience an all new adventure, with some familiar faces, but in an all-new location, check out the latest trailer below.

As Kirby comes to, in this new land, he will soon discover that the Waddle Dee’s that call it home are being captured by the mysterious Beast Pack. Freeing them will require you to get to the end of each stage, though you’ll want to explore every nook and cranny to rescue as many Waddle Dees along the way, too.

As you take the fight to the Beast Pack, Kirby will one again, get to make use of the copy ability and along with some iconic ones, two new abilities are coming in, Driller and Ranger.

Submerge into the ground with the Drill copy ability and attack enemies from below with a massive blow. Your foes will soon be seeing stars when Kirby unleashes the Ranger copy ability, which also lets you set your sights on a faraway enemy.

In addition to saving Waddle Dee’s and defeating the Beast Pack, Kirby won’t need to do it alone, as you can pass a Joy-Con to another player and team up, one as Kirby and the other as Bandana Waddle Dee.

Finally, when you are tired of saving the day and want to relax, you can spend some time in Waddle Dee Town, which you can grow and expand, as you find more of the characters. You will notice different shops opening and be able to enjoy some of the townsfolk’s favourite games. Kirby can even help out in the Waddle Dee Café. You’ll need to quickly prepare customers’ orders to keep them satisfied and aim for a high score. You’ll also encounter Wise Waddle Dee in Waddle Dee Town, who will pass along helpful hints.

The game is set to launch on March 25th for Switch and as this is Kirby’s 30th year, Nintendo has also launched a special website to celebrate that fact, complete with a special wallpaper.
