Horizon Call of the Mountain gets its first proper trailer and looks incredible

Guerrilla Games and Firesprite Games revealed the first proper look at Horizon Call of the Mountain, during the recent State of Play and it looks amazing, check out the trailer for it below.

There are two aspects to the game, there is a story drive adventure and a potentially relaxing river ride. The story mode has you playing as Ryas a former member of the Shadow Carja Warrior tribe, who excels in Archery and Climbing. In the hopes of redemption, they take on the task of investigating a grave new threat to the Sundom.

Across Ryas’ jouney, you will have to master various tools and weapons, using the materials that you find throughout the world to craft additional gear, so you can be prepared for any situation. While your journey will be a solo one, there will be new and old characters that you will meet along the way, including the mains series star Aloy.

The second mode that the game is going to offer is just called the River Ride experience, which as its name implies, lets you drift down a river, taking in all the sights and sounds of the world. Of course, as the world is filled with massive mechanical beasties, it may not be the smoothest of boat rides.

There is no release date for the game yet, but it is coming to PlayStation VR2 in 2023 and it would not surprise me to see the game being a launch title for the platform.
